Jan Molinaro
On Thursday, April 7, 2022, with her family by her side, Jan peacefully joined her lifetime love, Ken, in eternal glory.
Her spirit is carried on by her beloved three children, Dr. Kenneth G. Molinero Jr. (Melissa), Danielle Torles, and Christina (Jaron) Minford. “Gram” to her “nine little hearts” who loved her dearly, she will always be remembered as a devoted wife, grateful mother, and blessed grandmother to Brian, Tianna, Delaney, Avery, Jaron, Adalynn, Molinero, Brynlee, and Serafina, who held all her heart. Loving sister and aunt to her “Dear Judi” and family.
Jan was born in McKees Rocks on September 9, 1949. She developed a passion for nursing at a young age, never losing “the touch” over her remarkable 50-year career. She became a Registered Nurse after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, and went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Carlow University. Throughout her impressive career, spanning from neonatal thru hospice care, Jan was an unforgettable, true leader whose compassion and caring had touched the lives of so many.
Jan was so many things. Humble, strong, a lifetime learner, avid reader, critical thinker, volunteer, international traveler, funny and quick witted, the best “city chicken” and brownie making homemaker, green-thumbed girl from the “Rocks,” but most importantly our beloved Mom, Grammie, and Sister.
Jan lived and breathed for her greatest success story, her family. Her family was her life and her life now lives on with them. “For in you, my children and grandchildren, I live each day. There is a little of me in all of you, in each new one I live anew.” She will be greatly missed. We will all make you proud Jan. We love you always and forever.
