James Leroy Ullom Jr.
James Leroy “Butchie” Ullom Jr., 38, of West Alexander, died Monday, April 11, 2022.
He was born January 13, 1985, in Washington, a son of James Leroy “Butch” Ullom Sr. and Barbara Byers Ullom of Claysville.
James was a graduate of McGuffey High School.
He worked as a supervisor for Marshall County Coal Mine.
Mr. Ullom was very proud of his service in the United States Air Force, having served from January 2004 until November 2006.
A selfless man, who never met a stranger, James talked to everyone, and bent over backwards to help all who needed his help. He was such a kind and generous person, and was loved by all who knew him.
He enjoyed being outside, and was happy when he was hunting, fishing in his pond, singing, and playing his guitar.
Above all, Butchie loved his family; they were everything to him, and being a dad gave him so much joy. He absolutely adored his daughter, whom he called his little “Laney Bug”; she was the love of his life.
Surviving are his fiancee, Nicole Crispin; a daughter, Laney Anne Ullom; a son, Leroy, who is “on the way”; a stepson, Zane Budzanoski; two stepdaughters, Kaylee Budzanoski and Laylah Budzanoski; three siblings, Thor (Darla) Plants, Tasha (Justin) Seibert and Nathan (Jessica) Ullom; two nephews, Evan Seibert and Noah Seibert; a niece, Kristen Plants; his paternal grandfather, Larry Liggett; as well as many aunts, uncles and family.
