John Oliver Martin, Sr.
John Oliver Martin Sr., 80, of Washington passed away Friday, April 15, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
He was born on March 25, 1942, in Washington, a son of the late Lawrence L. and Nora J. Jones Martin Sr.
He enjoyed building model cars, playing cards and shooting pool.
He was employed by his brother’s company, Martin Painting, as a painter.
Surviving are four children, Patricia Martin of Washington, Lisa Elliott of Taylorstown, John Oliver (Tracy) Martin, Jr. of Washington, and Melissa (Josh) Hartley of Bentleyville; seven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two siblings, Raymond (Shirley) Martin, and Florence Gheen; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, are a brother, Lawrence L. Martin, Jr.; and a sister, Norma Jean Gheen; and a few great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
