Dale A. Armitage
Dale A. Armitage, 71, of Cecil Township, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2022.
He was born on August 19, 1950, in Corry, a son of the late Rev. Cassius and Margaret McCray Armitage.
On November 3, 1973, he married Connie J. Veydt, who survives.
Loving father of Jill (Jason) Kowalski, and the late David Armitage; father-in-law of Lauren Armitage-Bosetti (Joe Bosetti); grandfather of Emerson Kowalski, Kingston David Armitage, Elin Kowalski and Brooklyn Bosetti; brother of Joyce (Phil) Renicks, Beve (late Tom) Morton, Debby (Paul Oberst) Solari, and the late Ron Armitage; brother-in-law of Neil (Sharrol) Veydt, Linda (Geary) Leasure and Mark (Pam) Veydt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A devoted and longtime member of The Bible Chapel, McMurray. Dale was a retired real estate agent with Howard Hanna, McMurray. He served as president and coach of the Cecil Baseball Association. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, but above all he loved being with and coaching his grandchildren. He also volunteered his time on Friday night’s working “the sticks” for the Big Mac games.
Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Warchol Funeral Home, Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville (412-221-3333).
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, at The Bible Chapel, McMurray (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment to follow at Melrose Cemetery, South Fayette Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Washington City Mission or The Bible Chapel.
