Janice P. Lenart

Janice P. Lenart, 80, of Washington, died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Premier Washington Health Center.

She was born March 18, 1942, in Marianna, the daughter of the late Pete and Julia Fedorka Karmazin.

Mrs. Lenart was a 1960 graduate of Canonsburg High School, and went on to work as a beautician at Mikus’s and Brace’s.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, working in the garden and playing card games.

On May 26, 1962, in Washington, she married Charles W. Lenart, Jr.. Mr. Lenart died October 20, 2008.

Surviving are a son, Patrick Lenart, of Eighty Four; a sister, Elaine McConnell, of Canonsburg; a granddaughter, Stefanie Lenart, of Washington; and a great-grandson, Jaxson Lenart.

Deceased are a brother, Pete; and three sisters, JoAnn, Dolores “Jean” and Eleanor.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, in the Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington.

A Parastas service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening, in the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2022, in St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 601 Boone Avenue, Canonsburg, PA 15317, with Reverend John Kotalik celebrating.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
