Albert Leon Charlier

Albert Leon “Tubby” Charlier, 87, of Cecil died Monday, April 25, 2022, in his home.

He was born July 14, 1934 in McDonald, a son of the late Calvin and Edith Baker Charlier.

Albert was a Specialist in the U.S. Army, serving as a Vehicle Mechanic.

He enjoyed stock car racing, and belonged to many racing organizations. Many of his days were spent going to Liz’s Diner and then to the garage.

He previously worked as a Truck Driver for Powers Auto Crushing, Avella, PA.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Charlier of Cecil; sons, Dale and David Charlier; daughter, Sherry Charlier; all of Midway, step-daughter, Karen (Donald) Cannon of Avella; step-son, Keith (Leslie) Konyk of Canonsburg; grandchildren, Daryl (Tanya) Charlier, Lindsey Charlier, Kristen (Aaron) White, Kara (Cory) Testerman, Derek (Jessica) Charlier, Justin Charlier, Joshua Charlier, Derek (Krystal) Cannon, Zachary Cannon, Nicholas Konyk and Samantha Konyk; great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Layla, Asher, Makenna, Nathan, Stella and Jack.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald “Pidge” Charlier and sister, Donna “Do” Clark.

Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 27, at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Rd., Cecil, PA 15321.

Services will be held at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, Thursday, April 28 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor David Perry officiating.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
