Joel F. Zubovic
Joel F. Zubovic, 80, of Charleroi, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 24, 2022. Born December 30, 1941, at home in Fayette City, he was a son of the late Jacob and Helen Nutt Zubovic.
He was also predeceased by his older sister, Lana Homanics; brother-in-law, David Homanics; and nephew, Carl Homanics.
He is survived by his loving and committed wife of 39 years, Nancy Zubovic; and four daughters, Michele (Troy) Harris, Bibianna Goetz, Nadine Visnic, and Jonelle (Michael) Hanawalt; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Gregg Homanics.
Joel was a reserved and private man. He was a loving and committed husband and a devoted and ever-present father, grandfather and family man.
He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a member of Fayette City United Methodist Church and a chemist for US Steel for 45 years, retiring in 2001.
At the request of the family, services will be private. The Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home and Cremation, Charleroi, Joseph A. Lopez, funeral director, is handling the arrangements.
