Charles Gary Stoner
Charles Gary Stoner, 87, of Ragersville, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, after a brief period of declining health.
Gary was born September 25, 1934, to John Glenn Stoner and Emily Katherine McCann Stoner in Carmichaels.

On January 14, 1956, he married the love of his life, Nancy Warne Stoner, and they had four children, Amy, Eric, Brian and Leigh Ann.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Coast Guard serving in the North Atlantic, upper Great Lakes and the Western Pacific. He was an electrical engineer by trade, where he worked on the Nike X anti-ballistic missile project and later worked on the design and underwater testing of the first generation of underwater electric power tools.
Gary had a passion for bird hunting, traveling the country hunting pheasant, grouse, woodcock and quail with his friends, family and English Setters, Chip and Ruff.
Gary was an avid fly fisherman and in his younger years an avid scuba diver, exploring coral reefs of the South Pacific and underwater ship and plane wrecks. He was also an avid photographer and in the early 1960s, he designed and constructed his own underwater cameras. But, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially, prior to her death, his wife Nancy, his children and grandchildren, going on hikes, exploring the outdoors, teaching them to build campfires, how to shoot and how to fish.

In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death in 2000 by his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy Warne Stoner; a son, Brian Scott Stoner in 2010; and daughter, Leigh Ann Stoner Morgan in 1990.
