Buddy Steve McMasters, Jr., 62, of Washington, died Saturday, December 3, 2022, in his home.

He was born March 2, 1960, in Washington, a son of the late Buddy Steve McMasters, Sr. and Eunice Marie Slonaker McMasters.

Buddy was a graduate of Trinity High School.

A proud vetran of the United States Army, Mr. McMasters served with Battery C 377th Field Artillery until his honorable discharge May 22, 1981.

He was the owner/operator of McMasters Landscaping.

Buddy was a member of the Taylorstown American Legion Post 907.

He loved riding and working on motorcycles, shooting and especially spending time with his grandsons.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.

On June 5, 1982, he married Maria Johanna Chopak, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jeremy (Morgan McCord) McMasters and Jesse (Rose Hiles) McMasters, Sr.; a sister, Evelyn McMasters; and two grandchildren, Jesse McMasters, Jr., and Jaxson McMasters; as well as two nephews, Randy Addis and Chris Addis.

Deceased is his stepfather, Archie R. Lindley, who helped raise Buddy to be the man he became.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, December 10, in the American Legion in Taylorstown, 84 Main Street, Taylorstown, PA 15365, with full military honors and a gathering of family and friends immediately following.
