Louis M. Colicchie
Louis M. Colicchie passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022. Lou was born on February 18, 1933, to Vincent and Giovanna Colicchie of Carnegie.
After returning home from the Korean War, Lou secured a position with Ryan Homes as a carpenter. In his 38+ year career, Lou rose to the title of Master Builder and retired from Ryan Homes as a Project Manager.
After retirement, he enjoyed donating his time and expertise to Habitat for Humanity. He also enjoyed golfing, softball, fishing and a good western movie while lounging in his recliner.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; granddaughter, Victoria; brothers, Samuel and Eugene; and sisters, Rose, Pauline and Louise.
He is survived by his children, Mark Colicchie of Pittsburgh, Lisa (Thomas) Contrella of McMurray, Gina (Jeffrey) Thompson of Oklahoma, Christopher (Pamela) Colicchie of Bridgeville and Stephanie (Joseph) Niedzialkia of Cecil Township. He was also survived by his grandchildren, Nicolas, Jessica, Michelle, Alexandra, Ethan, Peyton, Erin, Daniel, Christina, Sara and Damon; along with 12 great-grandchildren.
Friends are being received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20th at the Leo J. Henney Funeral Home, 323 Second Avenue, Carnegie, where a Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21st.
