Carol A. Staab Schneider
Carol A. Staab Schneider, 88, of Finleyville, died Monday, December 19, 2022.
She was born and raised in Carrick and a 1952 graduate of the former St. Basil’s High School. Carol retired from the former Blackwell-Stevenson Co.
She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Finleyville, the Christian Mothers, Resurrection Choir, Finance Committee and was a Eucharistic Minister. She was the recipient of the Manifest the kingdom Award from the Diocese of Pittsburgh in 2003 for her many years of dedication to the CCD and Parish Share Programs at St. Francis.
Surviving are her best friend and husband of 68 years John “Jack” Schneider; two sons, William “Bill”(Linda) of Mechanicsburg and David of Finleyville; her beloved and cherished granddaughter, Nichole (Daniel) Menezes of Turlock, Calif.; her wonderful nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and nephews and their families; her many cousins, especially Joan Sankey, Charlotte Shipley and Marilyn Kansler; and her many dear friends and neighbors who on a daily basis kept joy in her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Gallupe and John William “Buck” Staab; her dear sister, Suzanna Pfaff and husband Ron Pfaff; her in laws, Alvina and Jack Schneider and Robert “Duke” and wife Sarah Steele Schneider.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday in Kegel Funeral Home, Inc. David P. Kegel, Supervisor 3560 Washington Avenue Finleyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Francis of Assisi Church “St. John XXIII Parish” 3609 Washington Avenue, Finleyville.
Everyone please meet at the Church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
