Dolores Jean English
Dolores Jean English, 77, of Washington, passed away peacefully, with family by her side, Saturday, January 29, 2022.
She was born September 22, 1944, a daughter of the late Margaret and George Macik.
She was the beloved wife of Douglas English for 39 years; loving mother of Anthony (Kelley) Sartori Jr., John Sartori and Kathy (Ben) Fisler; cherished grandmother of Anthony (Traci) Sartori, Jocelynn (Billy) Collins, Caleb, Preston, Brysen, Ryland, Kaisley Fisler; great-grandmother of Sophia and Lucas Sartori, Hailey and William Collins; dear sister of George (Pat) Macik, Ronald Macik, William Macik, the late Shirley Gariepy, Georjean Macik and Margaret Macik; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dolores loved taking care of other people; for the last 20 years she was a caretaker for many. She was a longtime member of Avery United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, and her motto was always “just a taste,” even though it was always a large plate. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 3, in Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317 (724-260-5546), where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 4. Internment will follow at Washington Cemetery.
