Carmella C. Insana Ruschell
Carmella C. Insana Ruschell, 87, of Harmony, and formerly of Washington, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022.
She was born October 18, 1934, in Washington, the daughter of the late Francesco and Pasqua Insana.
Mrs. Ruschell was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1952.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Washington most of her life where she was very active for various church activities.
She was employed by Brockway Glass Company and was a Beautician for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Washington Senior Center and loved going out to lunch. She also loved to go shopping.
On August 8, 1964, she married Frank R. Ruschell who died on July 21, 1988.
Surviving is a daughter, Melinda (Edward) Leyland of Harmony; and a son, Frank R. Ruschell, Jr. of Jefferson Hills.
Also surviving are three grandchildren, Shane Leyland, Alivia Leyland and Brianna Leyland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death in addition to her parents and husband; by her brothers and sisters, Pete Insana, Sarah Molinets, Frances Jones, Dominic Insana and Sam Insana.
All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, in Immaculate Conception Church in Washington. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
