Harlan W. Pust
Harlan W. Pust, 78, of Jefferson, died Monday, February 7, 2022, at home.
He was born June 5, 1943, in Gillhall, Allegheny County, a son of the late William J. and Mercedes Rhodes Pust.
Harlan had his Masters in Education and was a Head teacher for the Intermediate Unit #1, and at one time in the Youth Development Center.
He had also worked as an insurance agent for the Pennsylvania Farmer’s Association.
He was a member of Faith Baptist Church for 48 years, where he was a deacon, Adult Sunday School Teacher, and a 32 year member of the Open Door Christian School Board member.
Harlan and Georgann enjoyed being members of the Christian Motorcycle Association and being foster parents for 29 children.
On June 23, 1964, he married Georgann Sedon Pust.
Also surviving are four children, Harlan Edmund (Peggy) Pust of Jefferson, Darek William (Ronda) Pust of Marianna, Raelene Faith (Larry) Koller of Jefferson, and Lois J. Pust of Waynesburg; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Linda J. McNatt of Georgia.
Deceased is a brother, Russell Pust.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, Lippencott Road, Waynesburg, PA 15370, and from 10 to 11 am, the hour of funeral services, on Saturday, with Pastor Larry Douglas and Pastor Paul Roofner, officiating.
