Thomas E. Sellers Sr.

Thomas E. Sellers Sr., 75, of Kittanning, died Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Armstrong Memorial Hospital, Kittanning.

He was born October 5, 1946, in Clarksville, a son of the late Thomas F. and Ruby Harris Sellers.

Tom was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.

He was a federal mine inspector for the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA).

Tom was a member of the Kittanning Church of Christ, the Disabled American Veterans and Pine Creek Sportsman Club.

On April 16, 1972, he married Ruth Sowden, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Thomas (Cassandra) Sellers Jr. of Kittanning; four grandchildren, Seth Lueninghoener, Catherine Sellers, Caroline Sellers, Jacob Sellers; two great-grandchildren, Maya Lueninghoener and Sai Lueninghoener; and a brother, Donald Sellers of Clarksville.

Deceased is a sister, Eleanor (Hope) Redman.

In following the guidelines of wearing masks, friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 14, in the Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, PA 15344, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, with Evangelist Larry Krause officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the United States Air Force and the Greene County Honor Guard. Immediately following the services a luncheon will be held at American Legion Post #330, 676 E. High Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370.
