Charles John Bistarkey Jr.

Charles John Bistarkey Jr., 65, of Hickory, died Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in his brother’s home in Peters Township, after a long battle with liver failure.

He was born November 11, 1956, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Charles John and Edna G. Butler Bistarkey Sr.

He was a graduate of Fort Cherry High School, and was a former Mt. Pleasant Township Volunteer Fireman and EMT. He enjoyed hunting and was a avid fisherman.

He worked as a Miner for Consol Coal, Bailey Mine, was a pyrotechnician for Zambelli Fireworks, and worked as a operating room technician at Washington Hospital.

Surviving are his daughter, Heather Bistarkey of Washington; son, Shawn Bistarkey of Houston; three brothers, Larry Bistarkey, of Canyon City, Colo., Dave (Terrie) Bistarkey of Penn Hills, and Bruce (Dawn) Bistarkey of Peters Township; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Cecil, PA 15321, where services will be held at 8 p.m. on Saturday, with Pastor David Perry, officiating.

Private interment will be in the Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
