James M. Kalaski
James M. Kalaski, 65, of Rogersville, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:35 a.m. in Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center.
James was born January 10, 1957, to the late Ollie and Joan Beyerbach Kalaski.
James married Kathy Wojtowicz Kalaski on May 10, 1990, at the Washington DC Temple.
Mr. Kalaski graduated from Fort Cherry High School in 1975, and went on to attend West Liberty University, and transferred to Marshall University, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in music.
James worked as a substitute teacher for several schools in the McDonald area. Then he worked for OVR in the Washington area for over 30 years as a Supervisor before retiring in 2017.
James was a member of the Masonic Lodge in McDonald until it closed and then joined the Masonic Lodge #297 in Canonsburg. James was also a member of the Claysville Sportsmans Club from 1998 to present and the Mt. Morris Sportsmans Club from 2003 to the present. From 1993 to present, he served as President and Vice President of the Waynesburg Sportsman Club throughout his membership.
He enjoyed hunting, shooting and collecting guns, and racing his Road Runner, when he was younger.
James would go for rides, listen to classical music, and spend time outdoors.
In addition to his wife, James leaves behind a son, Domenic J. (Kylee) Kalaski, of Clarksville; and two sisters: Jeanne Piovesan, of Murrysville, and Joan (Brian) King, of Toledo, Ohio.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the funeral home.
The Canonsburg Masonic Lodge will hold a service at the funeral home at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home, LLC., 3275 W. Roy Furman Hwy., Rogersville, PA 15359; Telephone: 724 499 5181, with Pastor John Parker officiating.
Burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville.
