Anna Frances Dewar
Anna Frances Dewar, 89, of Houston, died Monday, January 24, 2022, in Strabane Woods.
She was born September 22, 1932, in Wellsburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Marko and Josephine Kopus Marinkovich.
Anna was a longtime member of Meadowlands Methodist Church.
She graduated from Wellsburg High School and went on to obtain draftsman’s training.
Mrs. Dewar worked for Metro Glass and RCA.
In her free time, Anna was an avid reader. She enjoyed crafting and sewing, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
On April 29, 1972, she married the love of her life, Herbert Dewar, who survives.
Also surviving are two nieces, with whom she was extremely close, Maryann Capp and Diane Frank; a host of other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Joann Marinkovich.
Deceased are three brothers, Nikolas, Joseph, and Walter Marinkovich; and two sisters, Barbara Marinkovich and Mildred Gagich.
Friends will be received from 10:15 to 11 a.m. Friday, February 25, at which time a memorial service will be held in the Meadow Lands United Methodist Church, 535 Pike Street, Meadow Lands, PA 15347, with Pastor Melody Kimmell officiating.
Inurnment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the church.
