Edna Mae Boyd

Edna Mae Boyd, 73, of Eighty Four, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022, in Promedica, McMurray, with her daughter by her side.

Mrs. Boyd was born January 1, 1949, in Washington, a daughter of the late Carl and Virginia Wilson Pinkerton.

Mrs. Boyd was a 1967 graduate of McGuffey High School.

She formerly worked at Century Inn for over 15 years, and later retired from Evergreen Personal Care Home in Washington, where she worked as an aide.

Edna enjoyed the Pittsburgh Pirates and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

On June 24, 1972 she married Donald D. Boyd Sr., who died September 13, 2015. They celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Surviving are four children, Donald D. Boyd Jr. (Chrissy), Carl “Eddie” Boyd, both of Eighty Four, Wendy Hillberry (Jason) of Ellsworth, and Matthew Boyd (Kathy) of St. Augustine, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Stacie Howes, Taylor Boyd, Brooke Hillberry, Gabriella Boyd, Trisha Hillberry, Jason Hillberry Jr., McKenzie Boyd, Donald Boyd III and Austin Boyd; seven great grandchildren, Brielle, Isabella, Rose, Gracen, Ariana, Wylie and Cameron.

Deceased in addition to her husband; are a daughter, Stacey Lynn Amos; and a brother, Alfred Pinkerton.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2022, in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where a Funeral Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. with Pastor Sheldon Barnett officiating.
