Dolores J. Collins
Dolores J. Collins, 86, of Washington, formerly of West Middletown and Prosperity, died Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Premier Washington Health Center, Washington.
She was born April 17, 1935, in Independence, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Edith McCalmont Miller.
Mrs. Collins was a 1953 graduate of Trinity High School. She lived a life of service, first, in the U.S. Navy, then as a Navy wife and mother. Later she served others as a licensed practical nurse and caregiver.
On October 19, 1954 in Newport, Rhode Island, she married Arlin B. Collins. Mr. Collins died March 10, 1981.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Collins of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Cheryl (Daniel) Cummins of West Alexander, and Jennifer Anderson of Washington; a brother, Richard (Mary) Miller of Girard; two sisters, Marilyn (John) Lindley of Prosperity, and Barbara (Bill) McCullough of Washington; three grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Eleanor Whalon; and a son-in-law, Steve Anderson.
