Leatha Rae Bonus
Leatha Rae “Lea” Bonus, 72, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in her home.
She was born February 2, 1949, in Washington, a daughter of the late Cora O’Bryan.
Mrs. Bonus graduated from Washington High School, earned her licensed practical nurse certification from Western Area Career and Technology Center, and worked as a licensed practical nurse at The Washington Hospital.
Her grandchildren were the greatest joy in her life.
On February 15, 1969, she married John Bonus, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Amanda (Gerard) Schumacher of Georgetown, S.C., and Jessica (Brian) Kletch of Washington; a brother, Daniel O’Bryan of Washington; and three grandchildren, Brennan, Hayden and Holden.
Deceased are a brother, Bernie Eckert; and a sister, Shirley Eckert.
There will be a private viewing for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
