Roy Kelly Reese, 68, of Casa Grande, Ariz., passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, after a brief battle with Covid-19. Roy was born October 16, 1953, in Welch, W.Va., to Clinton and Dora Reese. He graduated from Tazewell High School in Tazewell, Va., and entered into the U.S. Navy.

Roy married Teresa Zelenka September 1, 1976, in Tazewell. Roy and Teresa lived in Washington the majority of their lives and he worked as a production supervisor for Findlay Refractories until its closing in 2001.

Roy had a heart of gold. He went out of his way to help others, giving and helping those he could. He enjoyed watching football, fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms in the woods. He enjoyed being the life of the party and often only wanted people to feel good about themselves. Roy deeply loved his dog, Rusty and family.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Teresa Zelenka Reese; daughter, Jessica Stillwell (Jim) of Casa Grande; brothers, Barry (Janice) of Troutman, N.C., twin Roger (Minnie) of Harvest, Ala.; and sister, Sheila Whitt (Jimmy) of Tazewell.

At his request, there will be no formal viewing. Remember him with joy and raise a glass in his memory.
