Elizabeth Mae Jenkins
Elizabeth Mae Jenkins, 78, of Amity, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday, January 2, 2022.
She was born April 20, 1944, in Salina, Kan., a daughter of the late Jessie B. and Shirley K. Hardisty Temple.
On September 20, 1962, she married Clarence “Duck” Jenkins, of Amity, with whom she has shared almost 60 years of marriage.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children, Gloria (James) Sprowls, of Amity, Tammy (Pete Sickeri) Edgar, of Dubois, Dennis (Kimberly) Jenkins, of Houston, Agnes (Larry) Hancock, of Washington; two sisters, Maxine Gray, of Grafton Ohio, Alice Wilson, of Waynesburg; brother, Harold Temple, of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, James (Britney) Sprowls, Jamie (Nick) Rozzo, Buddy Garber, Jason Garber, Maggie Whelpley, Rylan Ridley, Jacquelyn Jenkins, Stephany Jenkins, 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are siblings, Harry Temple, Artie Temple, Nancy Temple, and Sonny Temple.
Family and friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Interment will be private.
