Mark A. Doppelheuer
Mark A. Doppelheuer, 59, of Waynesburg, died Sunday, January 2, 2022.
He was born January 29, 1962, in Connellsville, a son of the late Eric S. and Myrna Ann Fitzgerald Doppelheuer.
Mark was a 1980 graduate of Connellsville High School, where he excelled in Basketball and Baseball. He was also a 1984 graduate of, then, Waynesburg College, where he was an outstanding basketball player with the Yellow Jackets; Two of the seasons ended at the NAIA National Basketball Tournament.
Mark was currently a sales manager with Henwil Chemical Corporation, in Newell.
Mark was an avid fisherman, boater on the S.S. Kessa Avery, and leading member of the B-Dock’ers. He was a friend to all and a beloved Pap-Pap to his granddaughters.
On December 29, 1981, he married Suzanne Banas, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Brandon (Amanda) Doppelheuer, of Copley, Ohio; two granddaughters, Kessa and Mara; three siblings, Dwane (Deborah) Doppelheuer, of Connellsville, Timothy (Teresa) Doppelheuer, of Mt. Pleasant, and Mary Jo (Ken) Williams, of Connellsville; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at the Denny House, 145 W. High Street, Waynesburg, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
