Clarence Jenkins

Clarence “Duck” Jenkins, 85, of Amity, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, in his home.

He was born in Washington, on September 1, 1936, a son of the late Clarence L. and Florence Thomas Jenkins.

He attended Pleasant Hill School. He was a construction worker. He was a member of the Anawanna Club and enjoyed watching wrestling and game shows with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with family especially riding the side by side.

On September 20, 1962, he married Elizabeth Mae Temple Jenkins, with whom he shared almost 60 years of marriage before her passing on January 2, 2022.

He is survived by children, Gloria (James) Sprowls of Amity, Tammy (Pete Sickeri) Edgar of Dubois, Dennis (Kimberly) Jenkins of Houston, Agnes (Larry) Hancock of Washington; a sister, Nora Edgar; eight grandchildren, James (Britney) Sprowls, Jamie (Nick) Rozzo, Buddy Garber, Jason Garber, Maggie Whelpkey, Rylan Ridley, Jackie Jenkins, Stephen Jenkins; 11 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his wife and parents; are four brothers, Donald, Glenn, Merle, and Jim Jenkins; as well as three half-brothers Paul, George, Charlie Speese.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, in the Nichol Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday January 15, 2022. Interment will be private.
