Joanne Marie Stout, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away peacefully Monday, January 10, 2022, in Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She was 79 years old.

Joanne was born May 25, 1942, in Bentleyville, the only child to Andrew J. Zuscar and Ethel Ann Gacy Zuscar, who have predeceased her.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Stout of Sarasota; son, Mark Stout and wife Amy, also of Sarasota; and grandchildren, Andrew Stout, Alexa Stout Mobley and husband Stephen, Samuel Stout, Olivia Stout and Abby Stout.

Joanne was a graduate of Bentleyville High School (1960) and California University of Pennsylvania (1969). She lived most of her adult life in Washington County, where she and her former husband, William M. Stout, raised their children on their land known as Sunnyview Farm. The farm was a great source of enjoyment for her, and provided a wonderful environment to raise children on the principals that would go on to guide their lives; hard work, responsibility and loving one another.

She relocated to Sarasota in 1995, and was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. She will always be remembered for her strong faith, story telling and love for her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be given in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
