John R. Tukesbrey
John R. Tukesbrey, 70, of Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Friday, January 14, 2022, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
He was born April 30, 1951, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of the late Clarence and Mary Gillespie Tukesbrey.
John served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded twice and received two Purple Hearts.
He married Song Tukesbrey February 18, 2013, and they were happily married for eight years.
John was employed with PennDot as a bridge inspector for 20 years until his retirement in 2009.
He was a member of Waynesburg American Legion Post #330, Waynesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4793, Greene County Chapter #34 Military Order of the Purple Heart, Waynesburg and Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461. John loved spending time with his wife after retirement, riding ATVs, boating, football and playing golf.
At the request of the family, all services are private and a burial will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a later date.
