Edna Mae Moten
Edna Mae Moten, 100, of Rea, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 20, 2022, in her home.
She was born August 4, 1921, in Petersburg, Va., a daughter of the late George W. and Pigeon Harris.
Edna enjoyed bingo and going to the casino to play slots; she was even able to go to the casino on her 100th birthday.
On March 3, 1946, she married John E. Moten, who passed away January 3, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Ron (Patty) Moten and their Florida family, all of Daytona Beach, Fla.; Debra Peeples of Rea and Carol Jean Moten of Avella; three grandchildren, Brittany Peeples (George), Regina Peeples (Keith) and Hillary Peeples; a great-granddaughter, Amaya Cox; and a niece, Sandra (Don) Wheat of Prince George, Va.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a sister, Blanche Watt.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitations. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
