William Floyd Snedeker
William “Bill” Floyd Snedeker, 73, of Eighty Four, passed away peacefully, in his home, Monday, June 29, 2022. Born March 23, 1949, he was a son of the late Grace and Sam Snedeker.
Bill was the beloved husband to Sharon Snedeker for 44 years; father to Richard and Jolene; cherished grandfather to three grandchildren; loving brother to Frank (Diane) Snedeker and Andrew (Bonnie) Snedeker. Bill will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillian Judy Snedeker Heck and Joanne Balsinger.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army as a 589th Engineer during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed playing softball and was a coach for many years. Bill also loved to golf and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill requests that one may honor his memory by spending time with one’s family or honoring a veteran. We are all just passing through.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 12 until the 2 p.m. time of service Saturday, July 9, in Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. Internment will take place at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 11, at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
