Wendy. M. Fontanesi
Wendy. M. Fontanesi, 72, of Washington, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 28, 2022, after battling Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for over 40 years.
Wendy is survived by her children, Teague and Nathan Blouse, and Erika Cook; grandchildren, Ariahna Blouse and Vera Cook.
She was preceded in death by Romeo and Jennie Fontanesi.
Born September 27, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Wendy was raised in Bethel Park by her loving parents. Upon graduating high school, she attended Penn State University, where she completed her undergraduate degree.
Wendy married Robert Blouse in 1970, and they raised their three children in Eighty Four.
Additionally, Wendy worked as a teacher at various schools within Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Wendy was a beloved mother that demonstrated unbridled strength throughout her life as she fought MS. She enjoyed reading, gardening, sports/racing, cars, the outdoors, and being with family and friends. Wendy was always positive throughout her life and left everyone she met a better person.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 2, in Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Private burial to take place Friday at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh.
