On Thursday, June 2, 2022, James Anthony Valenti was called to heaven to join his parents, Anthony and Joanne Valenti of Atlasburg.

Jim grew up working on farms, gas stations, and rental properties before proudly earning admission to Duquesne University. He met his beautiful bride, Dolly, on campus and married her as fast as he could. Celebrating nearly 40 years of marriage, two children (Joe and Johnna), and his grandson, Tony.

Jim leaves a legacy as an amazing family man. He welcomed people from all walks of life into his home for game nights, lamb roasts, and long discussions of many interesting and funny topics.

Over the course of his business career, he designed ad campaigns for Pepsi, Pert Plus, CoGos, Ace Hardware, and many other brands. Successfully running his own business for over 30 years, he consulted for the Catholic Church and several cemetery companies, bringing much comfort to people in need.

Public viewing will be at William Slater Funeral Service, 1650 Greentree Road, Scott Township, from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 6. His funeral will be in Slater Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7.
