Stephanie Ann Clark

Stephanie Ann Clark, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in her home.

She was born March 15, 1952, a daughter of Charles R. Clark and Grace K. Clark, and the namesake of a German woman who hid her father in the root cellar of her farmhouse during the war.

She was a 1970 graduate of Trinity High School and a 1974 graduate of Duquesne University, where she obtained her teaching certificate.

In addition to substitute teaching and instructing homebound students at local school districts, she taught business law courses at Penn Commercial Business School, handled retail risk management for J. C. Penney, served as elected constable for the Borough of East Washington, was a winter dispatcher for PennDOT, and operated a mobile notary public service.

The last of her immediate family, she cherished and cared for the many cats she welcomed into her life.

At the request of the deceased, all arrangements were private.

Arrangements were entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
