Virginia Glass Cataneo
Virginia Glass Cataneo of Brownsville, PA, at the age of 92 went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
She was born on May 8, 1930 in Luzerne Township, PA.
Daughter of the late George Thomas Glass and Margaret Lillian Johnson Glass.
Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Joseph Cataneo; her son, Pastor Anthony “Tony” Cataneo; her sister, Shirley.
She is survived by her four daughters: Cheryl Rohland and husband Dr. L. Kirk Rohland, Vickie Peterson and husband Frank, Lisa Drylie, Gina Onesko and husband Chuck; daughter-in-law, Judy Cataneo; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; sister, Betty Eckley; two Brothers, Robert and Ron Glass. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a member of Jesus Fellowship Church. She was a relentless servant of Christ, a spiritual influence on everyone she knew, and a true prayer warrior. Virginia was a Godly mother that raised five children almost entirely on her own, while her husband worked out of town many years to provide for the family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her!
Friends will be received in The Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, PA from 1 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12th. A Funeral Service will begin at 4 p.m. with her grandson, Joseph Cataneo officiating. Private Interment for her family will be held on Monday at LaFayette Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Virginia’s name to: Jesus Fellowship Church, 6151 Brush Run Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
