Michael G. Livada Sr.

Michael G. Livada Sr., 86, of Burgettstown, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at home.

He was born May 9, 1936 in Hookstown, the son of the late Rudolph Livada Sr. and Katherine Kolorich Livada. He was also preceded in death by sister, Violet Zrelah; Margie Aten; half sisters, Katherine Pivac and Mary Gamble; brother, Rudolph Livada Sr.; half brothers, George Biscan and Emil Biscan.

Mike was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church; and a United States Army veteran sharpshooter.

Mike worked for Local No. 66 for 40 years, retiring in 1998; was a life member of Hanover VFD for 35 years; was alife member of NRA; he also enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and golf. He loved his family, his God and his country.

Surviving is his wife of 60 years, JoAnn Catanese Livada; sons, Michael G. Livada Jr., Joseph M. Livada; brother, Bernie Livada (JoAnn); sister, Ann Speicher; many nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday June 17, 2022, at STEEL & WOLFE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, W.Va.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with Reverend Harry Bielewicz as celebrant. Burial will follow at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence.
