Walter L. Reese
Walter L. Reese, 79, of Canonsburg, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born August 13, 1942 in Washington, a son of the late George and Mary Harris Reese.
Mr. Reese was a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School and belonged to the former John Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington.
Walter was a veteran, having served with the US Army from September 1963 until September 1965.
He worked for Dr. Pepper in Raleigh, N.C. where he lived for many years.
On October 19, 1965, he married Rosanna Birmingham, who is deceased.
Surviving are a sister, Evelyn Adams (Charles “Sam”) of Washington; three brothers, Fred Reese (Patricia) of McMurray, Roger Reese (Judy) of Washington and Robert Reese (Angie) of Canonsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his wife and parents; are a son, Sapp Hayword Reese; a sister, Shirley Sweeney; and five brothers, Elsworth, George Jr., Curtiss, Elmer and Vernie Reese.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date. Private interment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
