Bonnie Jean Dorsey Morrow
Bonnie Jean Dorsey Morrow, 93, of Washington, died Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born June 30, 1928, in Brownsville, the daughter of the late Roscoe Conklin and Bonnie Mosier Dorsey.
Bonnie was 1944 graduate of Centerville High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Education at California University of Pennsylvania.
She taught school in the Washington Area and in Northern Florida. She also served as moderator for a nonpartisan political discussion group, “Great Decisions”, for two decades.
Bonnie was a lover of music. She sang in several church and community choirs, touring in Europe with one of them. Locally, she sang in the choir at The Church of the Covenant, where she had been a member. She was also a past member of a current events club and a garden club in Washington.
Her greatest passion however was travel. She traveled the world and thoroughly enjoyed all it had to offer. During her time in Florida, she worked for TPC and shuttled pro golfers when they hosted tournaments.
On November 1, 1946, in Malden, Pa., she married the love of her life, William, who precedes her in death.
Surviving is her son, David D. (Cheryl) Morrow, of St. Augustine, Fla.; and her daughter, Cathy M. (Dr. James A.) Krebs, of Canonsburg; four grandchildren, Courtney, Amber, Nicole, and Greg; and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her husband, is a daughter, Jeanne L. Morrow; a son, William G. Morrow II; and a brother, Charles Dorsey.
At Bonnie’s request, all services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Directors Inc., Charles R. Piatt, owner / supervisor, Andrew C. Piatt, director.
