Angeline Gagich
Angeline Gagich, 96, of Avella, passed away Monday, June 20, 2022, in Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Wheeling, W.Va.
She was born May 6, 1926, in Avella, a daughter of the late Chester and Angelina Yanos Margaria.
Mrs. Gagich was a lifelong resident of Avella and a 1944 graduate of Avella High School.
She worked as the postmaster of the post office in Rea from 1954 until she retired in 1996.
Mrs. Gagich enjoyed cooking, baking and quilting. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored.
On May 22, 1946, she married Robert Gagich, who died February 14, 2000.
Surviving are two sons, Robert (Gloria) Gagich of Atwater, Ohio, James (Amelia) Gagich of Avella; a daughter, Pauline “Netch” (Ronald) Musser of Wheeling; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Rachel) Gagich, Joshua Gagich, Jesse (Amber) Gagich, Melanie Gagich and husband Chad Berry, Chad Musser and wife Marcia Rodrigues, Eli Musser and Megan Butler, Nathan (Amber) Musser, Shelly (Danny) Erdel, Rob (Georgie) Gagich, Jeff (Niki) Gagich, Michael Ann (Phillip) Catlinet, Gordon Gagich; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul “Bud” (Shirley) Margaria of Avella and their children.
Deceased, in addition to her husband of 53 years and parents, are a son, Daniel “Dipe” Gagich; and a brother, Peter “Birch” Dutka.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, in West Point Cemetery, 22 Parker Road, Avella, PA 15312.
