Shirley A. Jenkins
Shirley A. Jenkins, 85, of Amity, died Tuesday, June 28, 2022 in Evergreen Personal Care, Washington.
She was born May 19, 1937, in Greene County, daughter of the late Bernard R. and Clementine Pester Edgar.
She attended Trinity High School. She was a member of Ten Mile Presbyterian Church and Marianna American Legion Post 744 Ladies Auxiliary.
On November 25, 1953 she married Donald L. Jenkins Sr., who died July 23, 2002. They shared almost 50 years of marriage.
She is survived by six children: Donald L. Jenkins Jr. (Kum Sun), Clarence “Bob” Jenkins (Glenda), Donna S. Richmond (Charles), Michael D. Jenkins (Debbie), Danny P. Jenkins, MaryAnn Williams (Terry); 13 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, is a sister, Mary Bercosky; and 4 brothers: Bill, Kenny, Earl, and George Edgar.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
