James C. Cherry Jr.
James C. “J.C.” Cherry Jr., 50, of Old Lycoming Township, died Sunday, June 26, 2022, in his residence.
He was born March 16, 1972, in Waynesboro, a son of James C., Sr. and Toni Bishop Cherry.
J.C. was a graduate of Jefferson Morgan High School, and served during Desert Storm in the U.S. Army, where he was a combat medic. He had worked at UPMC Hospital and formerly for Pepsi.
He was a member of the American Legion and was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and any Marvel and DC movie.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, the former Heather M. Diehl; a son, Derrick C. (Stephanie) Bradford and their daughter, Aurora, of Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Jaicee N. Cherry, at home; and a brother, Michael Cherry of Coraopolis.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
