Julia M. Vanderhoof
Julia M. Vanderhoof, 80, of Claysville, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022, with her family by her side.
She was born on December 12, 1941, daughter of the late Frank and Jelema McDonnell.
Julia is survived by her loving husband Carl Vanderhoof; children, Patty (Shane) Bane, Wayne (Shari) Vanderhoof, Bill (Samantha) Vanderhoof, and Earl (Christy) Vanderhoof; grandchildren, Stephanie (Matt) Kerns, Aaron (Amanda) Martin, Tyler (Megan) Martin, Rachel (Dannielle) Vanderhoof, Jon (Kirsten) Vanderhoof, Becca Vanderhoof, Kylie Dunkle, Casey Dunkle, Kelsey Vanderhoof, and Evan Vanderhoof; great-grandchildren, Vaughan and Jameson Kerns, Anna and Jack Martin, Clara and Baylee Bowers, Jayla and Brandon, Steven Scott, and Hope McCartney; sister, Mary Ried; and brother, Steve McDonnell.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church. Julia was a Sunday school teacher and member of the lady’s Sunday school class.
She loved gardening as her pastime, but most of all, spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by siblings, Ike, Archie, and Paul McDonnell, Loretta Watson, and Violet Morrison.
Visitation for Julia will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the First Baptist Church, 317 Main Street, Claysville, PA 15323.
Service will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Claysville Volunteer Fire Department.
