Steven T. Javornicky, Jr.
Steven T. “Jav” Javornicky, Jr., 62, of Canonsburg, died on Sunday, March 20, 2022, in his home.
He was born on June 27, 1959, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Steven T. Javornicky, Sr. and Irene Pabian Javornicky.
Steven was a graduate of Canon McMillan High School.
Mr. Javornicky retired after 40 years, working for North Strabane Township’s road crew and as a heavy equipment operator.
Steve enjoyed movies, sitcoms and music, and was a big animal lover.
He was a gentle, quiet, generous soul, who had a heart of gold. He will be sorely missed.
Surviving are two sisters, Noreen (Dennis) Preteroti, of Washington, and Janice (Wayne) Lemonakis, of Bel Air, Md.; a nephew, Daniel (Janet) Preteroti, of Washington; a niece, Renee (Matt) Miller, of Washington; a nephew, Gregg (Candace) Preteroti, of Saxonburg; two nieces, Marla (Richard) Vincenti of Washington, and Stacey (Troy) Gump, of Canonsburg; as well as nine great-nieces and nephews.
He had numerous cousins, but was especially close to his cousin Melissa (James) DeJohn, of Washington.
At the request of the deceased, all services were private.
