Berridge Lee Simms

Berridge Lee “B.L.” Simms, 83, of Cameron, W.Va., passed away Friday, March 25, 2022, at home.

He was born May 24, 1938, in Aleppo, son of the late Harold and Wretha Wright Simms. A graduate of West Greene High School. A member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #18 Cameron, W.Va..

Preceded in death by his parents; brother, H. David Simms, and sister-in-law, Bula Simms.

B.L. lived in Aleppo almost all of his life.

Survived by his wife, Cindy Stewart Simms, of 40 years this past August 7, 2021; sons, Harold “Hal” Simms of Washington, Timothy “Tim” Simms of St. Albans, W.Va., Tom (Mitzie) Simms of Charleston, W.Va.; daughters, Amy (Rod) Hoopes of Lower Salem, Ohio; Theresa (Roger) Aston and Stephanie (Todd) Neely, all of Cameron, W.Va., and Wretha (Aric Goddard) of Aleppo; mother-in-law, Patricia Stewart; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy (Mike) Harris, and Robin Stewart and Chris (Wendy Goff) Stewart; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.

There will be no visitation at BL’s request.
