Betty Guyach

Betty Jean Guyach, 76, of Centerville, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, in her home.

She was born March 10, 1946, in Charleroi, daughter of the late Michael and Anna Salko Karpoff.

Mrs. Guyach graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1964. She then went on to attend Penn Commercial.

For over 23 years, Betty was employed as secretary/paralegal at Peacock-Keller in Washington.

Betty enjoyed tending to her flower garden, spending time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was a devout Christian who loved her lord.

For 48 years, Betty was a member of the Mon Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church in Belle Vernon, where she taught as a Sabbath school teacher for 30 years.

On November 12, 1966, she married Nicholas Guyach Jr., who survives. They celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are sons, Nicholas Guyach (Tammy) of Pittsburgh, Steven Guyach (Jacquline) of Scenery Hill; daughter, Denise Puskarich (Patrick) of Washington; brothers, George Karpoff (Dorothy) of Ellsworth, John Karpoff of Scenery Hill; grandchildren, Alison Schlosser (Andrew), Katlyn Mehl (Daniel), Alyssa Repsik (John), Derick Puskarich, McKayla Puskarich, Codi Guyach, Jeremy Guyach; four great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Tuesday, May 3, in John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, PA 15313, with Pastor Brandon Senior officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
