Marie Alana Maxem
Marie Alana Maxem, 74, of Bentleyville, died unexpectedly Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Washington Hospital.
She had been employed as a front desk clerk at Best Western Garden Inn in Bentleyvile since 2017. She was also employed as a front desk clerk at America’s Best Value Inn & Suites and Motel 6 in Washington. Upon graduation from high school, she was employed at H.M. Harper in Cleveland, Ohio, as a secretary. She was also employed at the Centerville Clinic in Fredericktown as a receptionist.
Marie loved interior decorating, making floral arrangements, cooking, baking, and had a great love of music. She also enjoyed watching the Steelers.
Surviving are her sister, Victoria M. Monroe, with whom she resided; a son, Michael A. Dipyatic (Erica) of Cranberry.
Deceased are Andrew and Virginia Soychak, who raised her; their son, Larry Soychak, who passed away in 2006; her ex-husband, Michael A. Dipyatic, who she cared for during all of his cancer treatments until his death in April 2021.

She will be greatly missed by her sister, Victoria, son Michael, and all who loved her.
