Robert J. Beckus
Robert J. “Bobby” Beckus, 78, of Washington, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, in The Washington Hospital.
He was born June 2, 1943, in Washington, a son of the late Robert James Beckus and Bessie Pearl Fumara Beckus Johnson.
Mr. Beckus attended Washington High School and served in the Navy.
He retired from Washington County, where he had worked in maintenance. He had also worked part-time at Triangle Billiards.
He loved to play pool. In his younger years, he played basketball in a men’s league.
Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly (Brad) Kutcher of West Newbury, Mass.; a son, John H. Beckus of Washington; a sister, Mary (Gerald) Smith of Washington; a brother, Joe (Elizabeth) Beckus of West Alexander; six grandchildren, Michael Kutcher, Jackie Kutcher, Caitlin Kutcher, Nicholas Kutcher, Maliyah Beckus, and Dominic Beckus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Mildred Beckus, who died as a child, and Priscilla Loar.
There will be no public viewing or service. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
