Pamela Fowler Cessna, 62, has passed from this earth to join her Heavenly Father in the eternal afterlife Saturday, April 30, 2022. In death as she was in life, Pamela was stubborn until the end, and her family feels comfort knowing that she is now at peace.

Pamela was born June 13, 1959, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late William “Bill” Fowler and Barbara Stemple Fowler, who survives.

She is also survived by Raymond Cessna; her children, Carrie and Nicholas; two grandsons, Davin and Cashew; and brothers, Jeffrey, Brent, and David Fowler, and their families.

Pamela was a 1977 graduate of Bentworth High School and, being a bright and hardworking woman, went on to have a number of successful careers in the automotive and insurance industries.

She had a loving marriage of over 30 years to Raymond Cessna and two children, who were her joy in life. She had many interests including cooking, dancing around the kitchen, creating art, skiing, listening to books on tape, playing Scrabble (in which she had few worthy opponents except maybe her son, Nicholas), watching the Food Network, reading, and sitting on the patio with her shadow, Cashew, the Australian Shepherd.

Pamela had a great love and intuition for cooking. In her early years, she collected cookbooks (acquiring hundreds), but only for inspiration – she never used recipes, opting instead to cook based on “instinct”.

Of the things in her life that she was most proud, it was being a mother to Carrie and Nicholas. She was the kindest, most generous, loving mother and raising them to be the same was her greatest gift of all to this world. Her love for them was boundless, and theirs for her was unconditional. She was also an excellent and beloved dog grandmother to Cashew, who was her biggest fan, companion, and confidante. He will miss their evenings and early mornings spent on the front porch, car rides where he was allowed to stick his head out of the window (which Carrie forbids), and innumerable treats (mostly behind Carrie’s back).

Pamela had a beautiful spirit that will live on with her children, who will honor her memory, and her dearly loved friends and family.
