Donna Fae Irey
Donna Fae Irey, 96, of Amity, died Monday, May 2, 2022, in Southmont Presbyterian SeniorCare.
She was born in Amwell Township on August 6, 1925, a daughter of the late Clyde and Myrtle Edgar Loar.
In 1945 she married Clem D. Irey, who died in 1982. She then went to work outside the home as a housekeeper, for different homes in the area, and then at Washington County Health Center.
She is survived by son, Clem E. Irey and wife, Kathy; and daughter, Donna Jean Irey; four grandsons, George M. Kovach, Eugene M. Kovach, Donald W. Irey, Brian S. Irey; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are siblings: Raymond Loar, Walter Loar, Clarence Loar, Margaret Loar, Georgia Roupe, Nellie Walters, Samuel Loar, Ernest Loar.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday May 5, 2022, with Rev. Mark Bauer officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
