David D. Richmond
David D. “Cowboy” Richmond, 82, who resided in Avella, Hopewell Township, his whole life, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022.
Born on November 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Hazel and Clarence Richmond.
Beloved father of Amy (Chris Suter) Ullom and Ryan (Nitanna Jones) Richmond; loving grandfather of Craig (Nicole), Caitlin (Nick “Jake”), Hunter, Andrew, Lyndsey, Ian, Ehron, Ehryka, and Collin; great-grandfather of Olivia and Easton; brother of Bruce, Phyllis, Earl, Jerry, and the late Jimmy; companion of Darlene; also survived two very special neighbor boys whom he loved as his own, Ryan Newman and Enzo Arena; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen, whom he married October 21, 1967.
Cowboy loved to show cattle, raise horses and watch his children raise animals with the 4H Club. He was a member of Horse and Mule Organization, Washington County Cattleman’s Association, Tri-State Quarter Horse Association and Green Valley Saddle Club.
He used to ride Bulls, and was on the Bull Riding Association. In the 1970’s he rode Bulls and Saddlebroncos for the National Rodeo Association. David was a proud US Army Veteran. He was a cook during his service time. He was a proud member of Iron Workers Local 3 out of Pittsburgh. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Burial will follow at West Middletown Cemetery.
