James Neale Watson
James Neale Watson, 87, of Canonsburg, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022. Jim was born September 16, 1934, and lived in Newmarket, Suffolk, England.
He received degrees in both Architecture (BA) and Engineering (BS) from the University of Sheffield, and a Master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He eventually became principal engineer of Watson Engineers, Consulting Structural Engineers. His expertise in structural analysis and design supported extensive construction and infrastructure projects here in the Pittsburgh area as well as nationally.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Eva Watson.
Jim is survived by his wife, Margaret “Peg”; his sister, Jan Rodman of the U.K.; and nieces and nephews. He will be missed by numerous friends and colleagues.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, in the Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
