Donna Kay Kennedy
Donna Kay Kennedy, 78, of Cokeburg, went to be with her Lord Jesus Saturday, May 14, 2022.
She was born July 26, 1943 in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Carpenter Malone.
Mrs. Kennedy was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School and a 1962 graduate of Irene’s Beauty School.
For 17 years she was employed at Century Inn in Scenery Hill, where in later years was a Homemaker.
She had been a member of the Cokeburg Presbyterian Church since 1971 and was also a member of the Cokeburg Moose Lodge #1625.
Donna loved spending time with her two grandchildren, and enjoyed reading, painting and helping people in any way she could.
On January 22, 1972, she married John “Cobb” Kennedy who died July 15, 2009.
Surviving are three children, John “JK” Kennedy (Denise Blackburn), of Bentleyville, Richard “Woody” Kennedy (Dawn), of Natrona Heights and Coliene Kennedy, of Cokeburg; two grandsons, the loves of her life, Conner and Liam Kennedy; a brother, Robert Dennis Malone (Cindy); one uncle, James Carpenter; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; great-great-nieces and nephews; cousins; extended family; and friends.
Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a brother, David Malone; and an uncle, Glenn “Budd” Carpenter.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Greenlee’s Bentleyville Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, where Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2022 with Pastor Fran Skariot officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, The Bible Chapel of McMurray, Saint Jude’s or the Washington City Mission.
